Lymphatic Drainage

The human body contains a silent system constantly working to keep it healthy--the lymph system. Without it our bodies would swell like balloons, swamping cells with stagnant fluids. The lymph system’s impact is so far-reaching that even minor aches and pains, low energy or susceptibility to colds and flu may be due to a sluggish lymph system.

The detoxifying, regenerative benefit of Lymphatic Drainage can help the whole body heal faster.

What happens during a lymphatic drainage session?

Lymphatic drainage is a light massage, using rhythmic strokes to improve the flow of lymph (colorless fluid that helps fight infection and disease) throughout the body. No oil is used. Depending on the purpose of the massage, treatment may include the whole body or only the affected area.

The rhythmic strokes have a very balancing, relaxing effect on the nervous system.

These are a few conditions Lymphatic Drainage can benefit:

  • edema
  • postoperative edemas
  • after removals of lymph nodes (like after breast cancer: arm edema)
  • sport injuries
  • low immunity
  • receptivity to colds, allergies, sinusitis
  • stress
  • scars
  • improve healthy skin/facial
